The first tomatoes will be ready to harvest when they’re turning bright red after approximately 35 days.
The fruit will continue to ripen after harvest, but they won’t get any sweeter.
Tomatoes are annual plants that usually perish with the first frost. When kept indoors however they can keep growing through the winter.
